The Commission
By engaging KokoroLinks ("The Studio"), you agree to these terms. We provide digital invitation hosting, design, and RSVP management services. These terms apply to all tiers: The Link, The Sanctuary, and The Heirloom.
Intellectual Property
Who owns what?
"You own your photos. We own the code and design templates."
Your Content: You retain full ownership of any photos, videos, and text you upload. You grant us a limited license to display this content solely for the purpose of hosting your invitation.
Our Craft: The underlying code, visual templates, "Firefly" animations, and "Password Gate" logic remain the intellectual property of KokoroLinks. You may not extract our source code to host elsewhere.
Payment & Refunds
Standard Tiers: "The Link" and "The Sanctuary" are non-refundable once the website is published to a live URL, as server resources are immediately provisioned.
Heirloom Commissions: Custom work requires a 50% deposit. This deposit becomes non-refundable once design work has commenced (typically 24 hours after booking). The remaining balance is due upon project completion.
Hosting & Retention
The short version: we archive, we do not quietly delete. When an invitation's hosting window ends, the page goes offline for guests but your photos, words, and RSVPs stay safely stored. You can bring it back online in one click from your dashboard, whenever you want.
Free invitations: stay live for roughly 18 months after your event date (or after publishing, if the page has no event date). After that the page is archived: visitors see a polite "this invitation has been archived" note instead of the invitation. Nothing is deleted at this point. Restoring from your dashboard puts it back online for at least 90 more days, and you can restore as often as you like.
One-time purchases: each package includes a hosting window (shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase), counted from your event date. Buying again extends the window. When it ends, the same archive rules apply: offline for guests, data kept, one-click restore.
Subscriptions: while your subscription is active, your invitations are never auto-archived. If you cancel, your events fall back to the rules above based on their dates and any one-time purchases they hold.
Permanent deletion: only happens after an invitation has sat in the archive, untouched, for 2 years on a free account. At that point the page and its photos are removed for good. We email the address on your account about 30 days before a page is due to be archived, so you have time to restore it or pick up a hosting package. Keep your email reachable; if a page matters to you long-term, a hosting package keeps it live without interruptions.
Self-serve deletion: you can delete your account and all associated invitations at any time from /app/account. Deletions are immediate. Public invitation pages 404 within seconds; underlying photo files are removed from storage within 7 days.
